"Our stay was planned very last minute due to new covid restrictions announced just days before our workshop retreat, but I'm so glad that we were able to book this place. The entire staff was so accomodating and friendly, because of that, we would definitely come back here again. There are plenty of group activities to do and with warm weather approaching, I can see us spending the day outdoors because it's situated right by the water. As some said, the rooms are a bit outdated but super clean, and that's the most important. For what you'll pay, it includes your stay, good food and snacks, what more can you ask for?! Thank you for a great stay, especially to Noah, who made sure we had the best experience. See you again soon!"
"The best, kindest people and lovely accommodations. They go above and beyond to help with food/dietary preferences and allergies. Working with consistent restriction changes can be tough but the staff here work with it beautifully. The rooms are well kept and cozy, and there's great trails nearby for nice walks."
"I was at Wilderness Edge for a conference. My family also came with us and we really enjoyed the facility and all it had to offer. The food was excellent, the service was very good. The hot tub was very nice and we had a lot of fun even at -30c! The room was very clean. We enjoyed ourselves very much!"
"I am a part of the Manitoba Chapter of the Wildlife Society and we held our Annual Winter Getaway here in 2019 and 2020. The owners of the facility and all of their employees are are SO accommodating, welcoming and generous. The first year, they cooked all of our meals for us and in 2020 we had only arranged for breakfasts but the food was amazing - it was on time for our schedule, hot and there was plenty available for everyone. There are beautiful views from the conference rooms and dining hall. Wilderness Edge went out of their way to fulfill any request we made prior to and during our stay. Each staff member made sure we were well taken care of in every aspect. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. I highly recommend this facility."
"We were there to rent equipment to raft down the river. The gentleman who took care of our reservation and equipment rental was very friendly knowledgable and helpful. He suggested we get another raft for our equipment. It made the trip so much nicer. Their tubes are very comfortable and durable as there are some shallow areas. The shuttle driver was super friendly and also helpful. We had such a wonderful day that we will be back and would rent from them in a heartbeat. Thank you."
"Don't be deterred by the dated facade and interior! We stayed 2 nights here for a family gathering and really enjoyed our time. Its not a fancy place but the beds are comfy, the building spacious, and Kevin's hospitality second to none. Highly recommend this place for large group functions."
"Great place, atmosphere, and view. Deer were regularly around, you can walk to good lakeside fishing. It's an older building that had been converted into a conference centre and hotel and the staff seem to be fixing it up as they go. It's not particularly fancy inside but you can see the improvements. It's still a work in progress. The staff was fantastic. If there's anything you need, ask them. WiFi was decent but didn't try steaming. Do the lazy River. There's a good grocer next door. Overall, it was comfortable and fun. We'll gladly go back."
"Best venue in Eastern Manitoba for small and large groups. They cater and the food is excellent! The beds are comfy!"
